Gatazee is a planner you talk to: you say or type what's on your mind, and it becomes tasks, events and notes with reminders. This page explains what we keep, why, who helps us run the service, and what you can do about it. In short: your entries are yours. We use them only to run Gatazee for you, we don't sell them, and we don't show ads.
Who we are
Gatazee is run from Israel. For anything about your data, write to hello@gatazee.com.
What we keep
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your account: name, email, password (stored only as a secure hash), language, time zone | To sign you in and show dates in your time |
| If you sign in with Google or Apple: an account identifier from them, plus your name and email | To sign you in without a password |
| What you add: tasks, events, notes, reminders, tags, places, people's names you mention, and your settings | That's the service itself |
| Voice recordings and their transcripts; text you type to the AI | To turn them into entries, and so you can listen back |
| Photos and documents you attach, and short descriptions of them | To keep them with your entries, and to make them searchable |
| Your location, only when you tap "Use my location" | To fill in an entry's place. We don't track where you are. |
| Technical records: sign-in sessions, error logs, and counts of AI use (never their content) | To keep the service secure, working and affordable |
We don't use analytics or advertising trackers, and we don't build profiles of you.
The AI
When you send a voice message, typed text, or (if you agree) photos and documents to Gatazee, they are sent to OpenAI to be transcribed and understood. Gatazee then shows you what it understood, and nothing is saved as an entry until you confirm it. Under OpenAI's terms for business customers, this data is not used to train their models; OpenAI may keep it for up to 30 days to detect abuse, then deletes it. Photos and documents are only sent to the AI after you agree to it, and you can turn that off in Settings at any time.
Who helps us run Gatazee
| Service | What it does | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Oracle Cloud | Hosts our server, database and your files | Israel (Jerusalem) |
| OpenAI | Transcribes speech and understands your messages, photos and documents | United States |
| Resend | Sends our emails (sign-in and password codes) | Japan |
| Google, Apple | Sign-in, only if you choose it | United States |
| Let's Encrypt | Our HTTPS certificates (no personal data) | United States |
They get only what they need for their job. We never sell your data or share it for advertising. We would disclose data only if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Your entries and files: as long as you keep them.
- Voice recordings: you can delete any recording, or choose not to keep them at all. A recording is also removed automatically about a day after nothing saved from it is left.
- An entry you delete disappears from the app at once, and Undo can bring it back. It stays in our database, marked as deleted, until your account is deleted. Write to us if you want something erased completely sooner.
- When you delete your account, everything is removed at once, and from the backups within 14 days.
Your choices and rights
- Download your data: Settings → Account → Download my data gives you everything in one file, including your recordings and attachments.
- Delete your account: Settings → Account → Delete account removes it with all your data.
- Correct anything by editing it in the app, or write to us for anything else, including questions about your rights under the laws where you live (for example the GDPR or Israel's Privacy Protection Law). We answer within 30 days.
Security
All connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only as secure hashes. Each account can see only its own data, and access to our servers is limited to us.
Children
Gatazee is not meant for children under 13 (under 16 in the EU). If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
